Watchers Kingdom

Privacy Notice

Privacy information for the Watchers Kingdom game, interactive Twitch overlay and feedback system. Last updated: 1 November 2026.

Controller and contact

The controller is the operator of Watchers Kingdom identified in the linked Legal Notice / Impressum. The controller’s full identity and postal contact details are available there. Contact for privacy requests: watcherskingdom.twitch@gmail.com.

Account, participation and game data

We receive your numeric Twitch ID, login and display name from Twitch. Confirmed channel-chat presence, participation timestamps, public game commands and available follow or subscription status are used to identify your character and apply the game rules. A game record may be created from confirmed chat participation before you share identity with the overlay. Chat membership does not identify everyone watching the video.

Game records include character progression, virtual currency, materials, inventory, equipment, skills, activities, combat results, quests, contributions, guild membership and roles, rankings, season history and tutorial progress. Action and event identifiers prevent duplicate requests and rewards. Public chat messages are received by the channel service; recent operational events can include short excerpts.

Twitch identity and access

Twitch initially supplies a pseudonymous extension identifier. If you choose Share Twitch identity, Twitch supplies the numeric ID needed for personal views and actions. The server verifies Twitch-signed tokens and the channel and account permissions. Short-lived extension tokens remain in the personal client’s memory and are not placed in URLs or persistent browser storage.

Sharing identity is optional. Declining or revoking it makes personal overlay actions unavailable; it does not erase existing game records or end separate processing of public chat participation. Twitch controls its own account and permission system.

Private feedback and email

Submitting feedback sends the category and message together with your Twitch ID, time, game version, season and handling status to the local game database. The private inbox can show the latest known Twitch name. These submissions are not publicly posted by the feedback feature.

Feedback is evaluated only at the operator’s request. There is no automatic AI analysis or automatic transfer of feedback to an AI service. Please leave out passwords, payment details and sensitive personal information. You can contact the operator to correct or request deletion of a submission.

If you email us, we process your email address, message, attachments and correspondence metadata to handle your request. The contact mailbox uses Gmail, provided by Google. Send only the information needed for your request.

Overlay usage measurement

During confirmed live operation, the service records linked accounts recently using the overlay, their last interaction time and interaction counts by game area. A temporary in-memory client identifier and sequence number prevent double counting. These records are linked to Twitch IDs and are not anonymous at collection time.

Operator reports aggregate activity, popular areas and time patterns. Counts exclude typed text, feedback contents, pointer coordinates, hovering and passive rewards. They do not prove attention, identify every viewer, establish participation or grant rewards. Aggregate activity may help time separately enabled Twitch advertising requests. No third-party advertising analytics service or cross-site tracking pixel is added by the game.

Purposes and legal bases

We process the information necessary to provide the game actions and support you request under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Account security, abuse prevention, duplicate prevention, reliable shared game state, limited public-chat participation processing and handling general feedback or inquiries rely on Article 6(1)(f). Our interests are to operate a fair, secure community game and respond to requests.

Limited local usage measurement relies on Article 6(1)(f): understanding which parts of the game are used and coordinating channel operation. We limit the data to activity counts and recent use, restrict access to the operator, use aggregate reports and prune the usage tables after 90 days. You may object to this processing by email. Twitch’s identity permission is not blanket consent to every use of personal data.

Where processing is required by law, Article 6(1)(c) applies. If a separate optional feature requires consent, we request it for that feature; consent can be withdrawn. Game calculations affect fictional game progress and do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects under Article 22 GDPR.

Public game views and recordings

Your Twitch display name, character, guild tag and selected ranking or community results can appear in the game and stream. Personal inventory access is authenticated. Feedback contents remain in the private handling process.

Twitch streams, clips and recordings can contain these public game views. Deleting a local game record does not automatically remove Twitch recordings or copies made by viewers. Requests about recordings need separate handling.

Hosting, providers and international transfers

The game database, operator tools and feedback records run on the operator’s PC in Germany. Twitch hosts the extension frontend and provides accounts, video, identity permissions and channel data. Cloudflare delivers this information site and carries API requests through the encrypted tunnel to the local game server. Operator tools and database exports are not public API routes.

Twitch, Cloudflare and Google receive network or communication data needed to provide and protect their services, such as IP addresses, request times, device/browser information or email metadata. Providers may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Provider processing and available transfer safeguards, including applicable adequacy frameworks and standard contractual clauses, are described in their current notices. Details or a copy of applicable safeguards can be requested from the operator.

We do not sell personal information. Access to local player records and private feedback is limited to the operator and any specifically authorised support. We disclose information where legally required or necessary to handle a lawful rights request.

Browser storage and cookies

The game can save your chosen audio settings, the last selected forest encounter and which season-results notice you have seen in local storage so those choices remain available after reopening. Encounter selection is scoped to the account and season. This storage serves your requested settings; it does not store extension tokens or add an advertising identifier. You can clear it in the browser’s site-storage settings. New personal Twitch overlays start muted unless you explicitly saved another choice.

This information page has no forms, embedded video, analytics scripts, external fonts or application cookies. Twitch and infrastructure providers may use their own cookies or security features under their policies.

Retention

Game records are kept while required to maintain the requested character, shared season history, consistent accounting and protection against duplicate actions or abuse. We manually review their continued necessity at least once a year. Records no longer required are deleted or anonymised, subject to any necessary shared records or legally required evidence.

We manually review resolved feedback twelve months after resolution and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed. Open feedback remains while the issue and its handling are relevant. Email and diagnostic information are kept for handling the request or incident and any necessary legal evidence. Backups are restricted to recovery and are assessed separately; they can contain older identifiable records. A restore must respect previously handled deletion requests.

Usage-statistics tables are periodically pruned for records older than 90 days while the game service runs. Browser preferences remain until changed or cleared. The annual game-record review and twelve-month resolved-feedback review are manual, not automatic deletion jobs. There is no general automatic inactivity purge or fixed automatic deletion schedule for email or backups. Revoking the extension does not itself delete records.

Your rights and how to contact us

Subject to the GDPR conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, and withdraw consent for processing based on consent. To exercise rights, email watcherskingdom.twitch@gmail.com and identify the relevant Twitch account. We may verify account ownership proportionately; never send your password or an extension token. We normally respond within one month and explain any lawful extension.

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f), including the limited usage measurement. We will assess the objection and stop the processing unless overriding lawful grounds apply. This service does not use player records for personalised direct-marketing profiles.

You may complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. The EDPB directory links to the national authorities and the German regional-authority directory.
